Rafaela + Abilio | Stunning Wedding in Recife, Brazil

We've got a pretty special posting to share today. This is a peek across 11,000 kms of travel distance, into the world of Recife Brazil. This stunning wedding is not only beautiful but extremely special specifically to Blanche Studios photographer, Isabela Kratz. Isabela and Rafaela have been friends for over 15 years! 

Brazilian weddings are a world of their own. Starting with a church that was built in 1720, Madre de Deus Church, located in Recife Antigo (old Recife) and ending at 6 AM with a view to the city's seaport, this beautiful wedding celebration was a blessing and a blast to be a part of!

From the amazing decor in the church, classic with a modern twist to the moment when after saying the "I do" the bride and groom stop in the middle of the aisle to kiss under rose petals being carefully thrown on them from tiny windows on the ceiling, the entire ceremony felt like a fairytale, just so so so dreamy. 

After the ceremony, we were all taken to a completely different atmosphere at the reception where it was decorated with beautiful punchy colours and completed with an amazing dessert bar. This is when the party was on FULL blast! Need we remind you Brazil is the land of Carnival, and they know how to party. All guest of all ages, kids, elders, and everybody else was dancing to the two bands and one singer that were performing throughout the entire night, needless to say the party went on until the sun was up! (there is photo proof of this!)

Andrea + Jacob | Edmonton Wedding Muttart Conservatory

Andrea and Jacob were one of our favourite couples of 2013! Their wedding ceremony took place at the Muttart Conservatory gardens, followed by the reception. We loved their sense of style, humour, and choice of TUNES!  Andrea and Jacob did things a little differently for their special day, the girls got all dolled up at the Ricci Hair Co, while the guys did their thing & ate sandwiches at Andrea and Jacobs home. Once everyone was looking their best we went over and started our photo session with the bride & groom at some of their favorite spots in the city. We had so many pass-er-by-ers, as you’ll see below! We then headed over to the beautiful gardens at the Muttart Conservatory where their simply stunning ceremony took place, with the reception following.

They've got a pretty wicked circle of family & friends. We got to spend a little more time with these two and their lovely guests at the reception, with our BLANCHE BOOTH (check it out here).
