Mexico | Destination Fun

It's something isn't it, to be photographing a corporate client one day and hours later to be in a tropical place photographing something completely different. The whole idea of flying to me is terrifying, but I appreciate it none-the-less. We come from a time where humans use to travel across sea for months and months to get to a destination, or travel in a horse carriage for weeks at a time. We are so lucky, to be able to be in one place, and only 6 hours later to be in a completely different country.

I wanted to quickly share a funny little experience at take off on our way to our destination. My husband and I couldn't get seats together, so I sat alone. Being the nervous flyer that I am, sitting there a little more stiff and nervous than need be. I hear someone behind me singing. For those of you who watch the TV series LOST will know what I am talking about.  He was singing DriveShaft - "You All Everybody", as we were taking off. I had to quickly calm my mind after that. What a funny thing to look back on!

Blanche Studios is looking anxiously to get more into Destination Weddings and Destination Photography work, this was a great start for us. I got to document our trip to Mexico from start to finish. Photographing the beautiful blue sky, ocean, sunsets, small character towns, and of course our two travel buddies. Helena and Jason. They were great models, when needed. Mexico was as hot as expected, we all ate too much as expected,  and took a lot of photos as expected.

Heres a break down of our Mexico | Destination Fun.

We stayed in the area of Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. We spent a lot of time by the pool and the ocean. Enjoyed our down time with many yummy caesars, a good book, and catching some Vitamin D. One one of the days, for a change up, we rented a convertible Jeep and went into a small character town LaSereneta, that had a private dog friendly beach. We saw a lot of furry friends, it was amazing to watch! At one point one little guy decided to come hang with us, he got into a couple of our shots. He was a cutie.

We walked the small town, the buildings and character of this place was amazing. The amount of trust that they have is beautiful. They had a "walk-up" library that was completely out in the open, no supervision. It was just there for your reading pleasure. We came across some school children, they were running along the school fence following us with huge smiles.

One thing that mexico does not lack, is the VW old school beetles. They were everywhere, it was pretty neat to see. On our way out, we came across a small truck cab FULL of tomatoes, he was delivering them fresh to the local beach restaurant, which we had just ate at. Pretty amazing! Talk about eating fresh & local!

We went into Puerto Vallarta couple of times, we went to a recommended restaurant called Cafe De Artistes. It was probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been to. Built on a hill, within a forest, surrounded by trees and amazing soft lighting as you have your exquisite meal. Incredible experience.

On our last few days, I decided to have a siesta by the beach and stick around for the sunset. It was well worth it. Great way to end the trip.

Life is good.
